Partnership Letter + Call to Action
Dear Zeynab,
Did you know in 2017, Community Sexual Assault Programs in Washington served over 13,000 victims? Did you know that according to a survey, 80 percent of Washington women's sexual assault experiences occurred prior to the age of 18?
These are the women and girls of our future, right here at home. Zeynab, as a female humanitarian and activist, working to uplift and encourage the women of the world and those here in Washington state, you understand the significance of these alarming statistics.
As the CEO and Founder of the Miss Africa Washington State Pageant, Washington Says No More is confident that your influence has the power to impact the lives of local women in the fight against domestic violence and sexual assault.
Knowing there is a problem in our community is one thing, but taking action to combat these problems is another. After reading about your vision, personal story and dedication to providing a “voice for the voiceless” you know what it means to be a survivor, and are just what Washington needs.
By capitalizing on your online and social media presence, complimented by your pageant network, your voice has the power to educate the women of Washington of the resources they may need, as well as inviting them to join the movement against domestic violence and sexual assault. The No More campaign is taking the nation by storm, and Washington has recently joined by providing support and services to communities statewide.
I would like to invite you, Zeynab, to join the movement. I ask whether you would be open to post and use the hashtag #WASaysNoMore, in order to continue to be a voice representing the voiceless throughout the state of Washington.
Please consider this partnership an opportunity to serve our community.
Thank you,
Michelle Bart
